The Admissions Process

Step 1:

Step 1:

Register for a Parent Information Session and/or submit an inquiry for an application. Once your application is received, complete and submit it.
Step 2

Step 2: Application Review

After all required information and documentation are submitted, the Admissions Committee will carefully review your child’s application. We will then contact you regarding next steps.
Step 3

Step 3: Visit Shalshelet/Student Interview

If it is determined that Yeshivat Shashelet may be the right fit for your child, we will call you to schedule a school visit. At the visit, your child will have the opportunity to visit classes, meet students, interview with a member of our admissions team and take a placement screening.
Step 4

Step 4: School Observation

After your child visits Yeshivat Shalshelet, we will schedule an in school observation at your child’s current school. This will provide us with a broader picture of your child’s current placement and how he/she presents in a mainstream school setting.
Step 5

Step 5: Admissions Review and Decision

Once each of the aforementioned steps is completed, the committee will meet to review your child’s file. It typically takes 4-6 weeks from the school observation for final review and you will be contacted when it is determined if Yeshivat Shalshelet is the right fit for your child.
